ah5ive the band is coming to Switch!
After three years of production “Let Us Feel The Blazing Lights” (让我们感受那炽热的光) finally comes to light in the sunny island of Singapore. This is the first full-length album of ah5ive the band and it features a collection of songs written over the years since the band formed. Also included are the theme song written for the FM95.8 radio drama “The 4 Dectectives” and the song from the FM100.3 radio DJ Collaboration《看吧!这逐渐腐烂的世界》

Timbre Music Academy and the Singapore Writers Festival bring you the concert finale of Poetry of Song 2012!
Vote for your favourite English and Chinese songs, with this year’s theme ‘Roots’, on the official SWF website from 15 October and come join us at Switch on 8 November to find out which poem-song come out tops. Hear singer-songwriters from the Timbre Music Academy and the Singapore music scene such as Mang Irama Dusqie (Goodfellas), Sara Wee (53A), Surath Godfrey (Raw Earth), Phaze, The Switch Gang and recording artiste Tay Kewei create melodies and bring these songs to life. |

D'in Cheung has played many genres of music from Pop, Rock, Metal , Funk to Electronic. D'in is not a technical musician, but his music sense and touch are unique and his melodies sincere enough to catch many audience attentions.
D'in picked up the guitar when he was 18. He continued to pursue his dream and moved to Hong Kong for its bigger music scene. In Hong Kong, he had performed at many levels, from small live houses to one of the biggest stages, during the Hong Kong Anime convention event. |

Night Festival: Xinyao <新谣> Rehashed!
Indie Singaporean Chinese bands ah5ive, Elyzia and Redpoll will rework, reinterpret, rehash Xinyao classics which you loved in the past; giving new leases of life to these songs with exciting fresh arrangements.
This event is part of National Heritage Board’s Night Festival. Switch is a proud partner of the festival.

Live For The Moment
Switch presents two evenings of the next wave of Singaporean Chinese indie bands from the roster of record label Live For The Moment.
Founded in 2010, Live For The Moment (LFTM) promotes original music by Singaporean Chinese bands. Currently with a roster of five bands, each band will be playing a set of their songs on 2 and 3 July at Switch. Fresh from their appearances at the infamous Spring Scream (春天吶喊) festival in Taiwan, these are not to be missed performances by ah5ive, Elyzia, Little Green Frog, Redpoll and Phaze.
